It’s a New Year and a new set of resolutions. How many will you actually see through to the end, and how many will fall by the wayside because of one simple four lettered word . . . FEAR?

Fear gets to the best of us, whether it is fear of failure, fear of success or even fear of fear. All of us have experienced fear at some point in our lives and it can be a real stumbling block that holds us back from being truly successful. But don’t panic, there is a way to conquer these fears, and what better time to start than this New Year.

Avoiding Emotional Over Eating And Minimize Stress

Being stressed, overwhelmed and over-tired is one of the primary causes of over eating. When we are worn out, we are much less able to resist temptation and much more likely to try to sooth or revive ourselves by over eating.

My tip for minimizing stress-related emotional over eating: learn to say “no” so that you can say “yes.”

We can only do what we can do. Really. And,if we want to do it well, we should usually only try to do one thing at a time. Tom Terbrock: Down 110lbs

‘tom terbrock’,It’s been a couple of months since I last visited with my Tom Terbrock, and he’s dropped 11 more pounds during that time, giving him a grand total of 110 pounds lost. That alone is quite impressive, but it is the inches he shaved off which truly makes the difference.

Weight-Loss After 40

Turning 40 is hard enough without having to worry about the changes going on behind the scenes with your body. When I was 20, thirty sounded old and forty sounded like the beginning of the end. Remember the photos of your grandparents in their forties? They looked ancient. Perhaps it’s just my perspective that has changed, but when I look around at forty year olds today, I see a much more youthful picture. Eating healthier and exercising regularly has certainly helped make 40 the new 30. Continue reading →

6 Weeks To A 6-Pack

So let’s get to it. Here are the experts’ choices on the most effective abdominal exercises. These should be performed two to three times weekly (for beginners, two is plenty to start). Each exercise should be executed until the point of momentary muscular failure, which should happen between 30 and 90 seconds. This is considered one set, which should be no more than 15 to 20 repetitions. Rest for 30 to 60 seconds. Concentrate on performing each exercise slowly with good form. Work up to completing two to three sets of each exercise. Continue reading →
